One of the major drawbacks of AI is the cost. That’s because it takes a huge amount to create an AI that will have human intelligence. However, an AI requires all the latest technologies like software and hardware so that they can possess human intelligence. At the same time, all the hardware and software are the top ones that are needed, and those costs an enormous amount. Besides, it’s also a fact that AI needs to be up-to-date with the latest hardware and software so that it can keep up with the latest trends and problems. Not to mention the maintenance cost will also blow your mind.
No Creativity
It’s true that AI can solve complex and complicated problems within seconds that will take us, humans, a long time. But it also can’t be denied that AI doesn’t have creativity on its own. They function according to their programming. I mean, AI will function according to what the creator has programmed on the AI. They won’t do anything else besides that. One can use AI in many fields and solve many hard problems. But it won’t do anything that is right or creatively on its own. So, it can be said all the credit will go to the creator and programmer.
Unemployment
AI is doing well in the current world, and many sectors are using AI in many fields with efficiency. But it’s also a fact that people are losing their jobs for that. I mean, AI can now solve hard problems in seconds that takes human a long time. At the same time, AI in the industry can perform multiple tasks with efficiency in less time. That’s why AI is replacing humans in many sectors. As a result, people are losing their jobs because they can’t keep up with AI. It is creating unemployment problems in our society, which is a major disadvantage.
Humans Are Becoming Lazy
As I mentioned countless times, AI can perform any task within seconds and more effectively than humans. And that’s why people are using AI in many sectors. As a result, people are becoming more and more dependent on AI, and humans are becoming very lazy because they aren’t doing tasks on their own. As a result, humans are learning anything new, and instead, machines are learning new things and becoming ready to evolve. However, since people aren’t learning anything new because they are too dependent on AI, they are losing their jobs and aren’t evolving at all.
No Emotions
AI has intelligence similar to human, and some says AI possesses much intelligence. But what about emotions? Humans have emotions like fear, love, courage, and others. And these emotions help humans to determine which is right and which is wrong. But AI doesn’t have emotion; that’s why AI can determine which is right and which is wrong. It entirely depends on the programming.
